Shouldn’t he have been suing them long time ago?
Or, was he waiting for the season to end to contact his lawyers? Either way, something in the milk ain’t clean with Memphitz and this lawsuit. He wasn’t acting embarrassed when he was up on Twitter with Toya acting a fool. Check below for more on this developing story…
Producer Memphitz is lashing out against K. Michelle, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” producers and more over the show’s allegations that he abused K when they were dating. The former Jive Records executive, though not named specifically, has been the target of several allegations of abuse from K this season. The singer claims Memphitz was physically abusive and that their relationship ruined her professional career in the music industry when the two were at Jive.
Now, The YBF shares that Memphitz is filing a multi-million defamation lawsuit in response to the bad press. According to Memph, “My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.”
The YBF says that Memphitz, who is currently married to Lil’ Wayne’s ex-wife, is asking for $1 per viewer per episode that his character has been defamed. With 12 episodes per season and 3-4 million viewers per episode, the lawsuit could add up to a hefty sum.
K. Michelle did not mince words when recounting her relationship with Memphitz this season and by the end, she appeared to be healing from the traumatic experience. Some of the other cast members though, like Rasheeda (a friend of Memph’s), found K’s story to over-dramatized and full of holes. Rasheeda even dubbed K a “fraud” saying, “Its a shame you trying to sell this old ass story but keep threatening to hurt others in the process….As far as any woman who has been a victim of domestic violence my heart goes out to you all and I wish you nothing but the best but this chick right here is a F—ING FRAUD!!”
K Michelle didn’t hesitate to release a statement:
“I¹ve always been told that the truth shall set you free. I stand behind my story 100%. I came on the ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ show mainly because I wanted to give a voice and bring light to a very serious issue.”
“I am very grateful to VH1 and Monami Ent. for the opportunity to tell my story, and touch lives worldwide … I look forward to having my day in court and finally having the truth of my story confirmed in a court of law.”
She adds, “Hopefully others will not have to go through this and then have their stories challenged to this degree because people now want to try to salvage whatever reputation they may have had.”
